The Scottish Karate-Do Federation was founded by nine karate students, three of these founder members are now active senior members of the Scottish Karate-Do Federation,

The Scottish Karate-Do Federation was originally called 'Wado-Ryu Karate Committee' (Scotland).
The Federation has grown to become the largest most successful karate association in Scotland with thousands of members and hundreds of clubs all over the central belt of Scotland. The Scottish Karate Federation is a member of the Scottish Karate Governing Body with this membership to the European Karate Federation and through this to the World Karate Federation.

Jewel Karate Club Members
As a member of the Jewel Karate Club you must hold an individual membership of the Scottish Karate-Do Federation.
Once you have membership to the Scottish Karate-Do Federation you will receive an SKF Karate Grade Book with your licence ticket affixed to the back of the book. This licence must be valid at all times and the SKF Karate Grade Book be produced at the time of a grading to record the pass result.
Also if you wish to attend a Scottish Karate-do Federation or a Scottish Karate Governing Body organised competition or training course the SKF Karate Grade Book and valid licence must be produced to receive an SKF stamp of attendance.
