Junior Kyu Grading

The Junior KYU Grade, brown belts with tabs are awarded by the senior instructor for a level of achievement attained by the karate student as set out by the Scottish Karate-Do Federation. It is normal for the student to have completed their Junior grades and coloured belts and the last grade achieved is the brown belt, rather that taking the junior brown belt from the student and starting them on the yellow belt, the instructor after grading will issue a tab to be sewn on to the brown belt to signifier the Kyu grade.

This Grade is a Kyu grade and on completion of the 1st Kyu grade the student will study for their Dan Grade
